PATCHES, PATCHES….P A T C H E S!

Hi There,

Patches, Patches, PATCHES! They are currently trending and is a fashion MUST-HAVE. Whether they be on your jacket, shirt, pants, jumper or bag?! This small cross-body bag was too cute to pass. I believe about two weeks before ZARA got this bag online and in-stores, I posted the ‘NO BAD VIBES’ picture on my Instagram page. & then one day while browsing ZARA’s shopping app I saw that same quote was on a bag! (GREAT) So I had to have it. But it sold out so quickly I did not even get the chance to purchase one ( 🙁 ) , but one lucky day I was at the cash point and there was a client bring two of the bags back! Of course I took it!

I love styling my small cross-body bag with my flat black shoes from Primark. I don’t remember the price but they were very affordable and are comfortable to walk in! What do you think about this look? & Don’t forget to like and comment on this post.

Dream.

& I am back!

So I am back to blogger & vlogging! I took a break from the social ‘online‘ world for a while (but not Snapchat). This break happened right at the time where I really needed to keep focused and dedicated to writing and completing my thesis. Even thou I took this break and it is now over I just noticed that I should not have taken such a long break and limited myself. I had/have so many ideas of content I want to create and share with all my followers because I LOVE CREATING CONTENT! I was really not being myself and doing things I enjoyed because I was so “BUSY” and needed to focus.

Writing a thesis can be very time consuming, frustrating when you get stuck and an energy guzzler. Adding to my school/thesis schedule I also have a part-time job at ZARA to keep up with. But I made it! I handed in my thesis & recently found out I FAILED 🙁 This was not such a huge let down as I thought it would be because my biggest worry was not being able to graduate this school year, BUT I WILL! & I am learning myself to find the P O S I T I V E  in every let down and life-events. This is not a easy process but I am on the journey.

Anyway I will be making blog post on life-events and lessons I have learned along the way but for now back to my first Street Fashion shoot. I do have a <3 for fashion so I wanna start to share some looks I put together, essential for the different seasons and current trends in the fashion industry.

My first blog post is all about this eye-catching patches and pins bomber jacket that I purchased from ZARA. When I first saw this come in on deliver day I fell in LOVE. It is so Urban, Fashionable & Unique, so I had to have it! But within no time it sold out all over the Netherlands and I was not able to get my hands on it. But one day I came into work having a bad day and a colleague said she saved me one! (This made my day!)  & I decided to take some picture with Anthony Donker of Pop”Arts Design, he is a talented photography who is also from the islands! Bombers are a spring/summer must have so I paired this with my favourite type of jeans Girlfriend Jeans.

What do you think about my outfit & about me sharing my outfits?

ZARA: Bomber.

Breshka: Girlfriend Jeans.

Birthday Gifts to Myself

Hi Loves,

Thought it would be nice to upload a post without you expecting it. 🙂

I truly believe that the best birthday gifts are the ones that YOU buy yourself! And as per usually I got myself not one but two gifts this year. I went for the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens and Oppilas Wireless Shutter Remote Control. After having my Canon 700D and the kit lens I thought it would be a great idea to step up my game up and add a lens to the family.

I can not exactly remember how the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens became the lens of my obsession but it could have been through YouTube, but then again isn’t that where we get almost all the things we want from?! Anyways, I have been asking around and talking to some photography enthusiast and they all recommend me getting my hands on this particular lens. The main reason they recommend it is because you can “get more light into the camera, while having the wide apertures create a great shallow depth of field”…. Sounds like (blah, blah, blah) but I can see the difference between a kit lens compared to the 50mm.

Adding to me getting myself the 50mm lens I looked into purchasing a remote for my camera because I have been using the timer or just being silly and snapping the picture myself. (hahha) Just imagine my behind the scene (BTS) picture….no comment! So I got me the best one the guy in the shop recommended for my camera the Canon 700D. With having these different equipment I am just a sucker for greats pictures that scream quality.

Top 4 reasons why I got the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM

1. It is affordable

The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM goes for about €130.00. This maybe the best price you will ever get a lens for. The other ones are not really mentionable!

2. Professional quality

Do not let the fact that the lens is affordable sway you away from thinking the quality of the images captured will change because of this. It has the same or even better quality pay of then that of the kit lens!

3. Compact and light weight

When you first place this lens onto your camera you feel an immediate difference with the weight compared to the kit lens.

4. Bokeh effect (Bloggers/Vloggers <3 this)

Who does not love the outline of focus circles and blur background? This makes for the best product picture because you are allowed to get up close and into the item in item.

If you have any tips on how I should use my new lens please so share. Below is some pictures of my new addition 🙂

Pictures of SABA & ST.MAARTEN

Hi Loves!

While on vacation in Saba I took so many pictures! I thought it would be a great idea to share some of them with. Below you will get to enjoy them, showing the scenery and floral on Saba 🙂

At the ending I have added a few pictures that I took on St.Maarten right before leaving to return back to the Netherlands. I miss being on the island with my family and friends. This summer was so much fun and I enjoyed everyday of it.

I hope my pictures give you a feeling of wanting to visit the islands as well! Let me know what you think about them!!

Love Always,

Sue-Jeen.
