MY 2nd TIME (FULL BRAZILIAN WAX)

This might be TMI (Too Much Information) for some but hey we are all adults here right?… & by the way this is a lifestyle blog! ūüôā

Now let’s start the conversation about my 1st and 2nd time having the full Brazilian wax done. I experienced my first time back in July and my second time just this week! I feel super proud of myself because I talked about having a full Brazilian wax done for so long. But like most I am so embarrassed/ashamed/terrified even when just thinking that I have to lay down on a bed and someone if literally right up into well onto and touching my penny (lol, that was the name I called ‘it’ my¬†vajayjay/vagina since young) with a bright light and probably criticising how mines look.

Even now while writing this I feel like ‘Girl you survived’. And I am getting over it because the¬†fact of the matter is that it is their job¬†and they have probably done this 500 times before you and they are just doing their job.

Let’s talk about the pain, comparing the two times I believe that it did get better. The first time of course it was a bit painful however, it is not a pain that lasts all day, where your penny ūüôā just feels like it is burning or just an unnatural. When the wax is applied they allow it to dry and then gently pull. After the wax is completely pulled of they apply pressure to the spot and then instantly or almost instantly it is relieved. For me this was done for the whole thing & for my second time I dared to get the back door also done! (lol are you also laughing while reading this?) The back door was so much easier and faster, she used the general wax and then applied the one that is used for the smaller hair.

One funny¬†part for me was the way in which you lay down for the front and the back. For the front you are on your back and your under feet are touching, so that she can get up in there. For the back you have to lay on your belly and hold your butt cheeks so that they don’t stick together! (lol, just imagine that)

I would say that a full waxing session takes about 30-45 minutes and it goes by so fast. It is not awkward while laying there, well at least not for me. I make sure not to look at what she is doing and just keep my head up, hands together and talk. Talking about yourself and sharing stories in general like any other salon experience. & the finally the final result is amazing! Everything is super soft for days and you are instantly beach ready.

The salon I visited is located in The Hague and so far I am super happy with their service. It is super clean and they are so professional.

Have you though about getting the full Brazilian done? What was you biggest fear? What did you think about it?

Summer Fashion MUST-HAVE

Summer is almost completely loaded in the Netherlands & everyone is searching for that perfect shoe. Living here you get to wear your really cute flip-flops and sandals sometimes but not during the whole of Summer. (Thanks to rain and unpredictable Dutch weather) So having that perfect closed-up and sturdy shoes is a MUST HAVE! My choice goes to the Adidas Superstar!

I have never been a fan of white shoes but the gold on this one made¬†it so irresistible for me. It is not too mush nor not too little & seeing that I have gold as my accessorising colour..how can I go wrong? The white and black in the shoes makes it so versatile and easy to combine with all outfits. Adding to that I love that the white makes they seem so clean & fresh. Until they get dirty and old that is….

What shoe do you have your eyes on for this summer?

PATCHES, PATCHES….P A T C H E S!

Hi There,

Patches, Patches, PATCHES! They are currently trending and is a fashion MUST-HAVE. Whether¬†they be on your jacket, shirt, pants, jumper or bag?! This small cross-body bag was too cute to pass. I believe about two weeks before ZARA got this bag online and in-stores, I posted the ‘NO BAD VIBES’ picture on my Instagram page. & then one day while browsing ZARA’s shopping app I saw¬†that same quote was on a bag! (GREAT) So I had to have it. But it sold out so quickly I did not even get the chance to purchase one ( ūüôĀ ) , but one lucky day I was at the cash point¬†and there was a client bring two of the bags back! Of course I took it!

I love styling my small cross-body bag with my flat black shoes from Primark. I don’t remember the price but they were very affordable and are comfortable to walk in! What do you think about this look? &¬†Don’t forget to like and comment on this post.

Dream.

& I am back!

So I am back to blogger & vlogging! I took a break from the social ‘online‘ world for a while (but not Snapchat). This break happened right at the time where I really needed to keep focused and dedicated to writing and completing my¬†thesis. Even thou I took this break and it is now over I just noticed that I should not have taken such a long break and limited myself. I had/have so many ideas of content I want to create and share with all my followers because¬†I LOVE CREATING CONTENT! I was really not being myself and doing things I enjoyed because I was so “BUSY” and needed to focus.

Writing a thesis can be very time consuming, frustrating when you get stuck and an energy guzzler. Adding to my school/thesis schedule I also have a part-time job at ZARA to keep up with. But I made it! I handed in my thesis & recently found out I FAILED ūüôĀ This was not such a huge let down as I thought it would be because my biggest worry was not being able to graduate this school year, BUT I WILL! & I am learning myself to find the P O S I T I V E¬†¬†in every let down and life-events. This is not a easy process but I am on the journey.

Anyway I will be making blog post on life-events and lessons I have learned along the way but for now back to my first Street Fashion shoot. I do have a <3 for fashion so I wanna start to share some looks I put together, essential for the different seasons and current trends in the fashion industry.

My first blog post is all about this eye-catching patches and pins bomber jacket that I purchased from ZARA. When I first saw this come in on deliver day I fell in LOVE. It is so Urban, Fashionable & Unique, so I had to have it! But within no time it sold out all over the Netherlands and I was not able to get my hands on it. But one day I came into work having a bad day and a colleague said she saved me one! (This made my day!) ¬†& I decided to take some picture with Anthony Donker of Pop”Arts Design, he is a talented photography who is also from the islands! Bombers are a spring/summer must have so I paired this with my favourite type of jeans Girlfriend Jeans.

What do you think about my outfit & about me sharing my outfits?

ZARA: Bomber.

Breshka: Girlfriend Jeans.

ROOTS PR – PRESS EVENT |Bloggers, Vloggers & Influencers

Hi Loves,

On Sunday I attended the ROOTS PR – Press Event for Bloggers, Vloggers and Influencers. This was an event that was held at a warm¬†venue in Amsterdam and in attendance was some of the best coloured Blogger, Vloggers and Influencers in the Netherlands. It was a great experience getting to meet some of beautiful people I have been following and never met in person some of them include the following¬†J’adoreMyCurls, ¬†This Girl’s Black Book¬†and Black Loves Gold.

During this event 3 workshops were held; ‘How to earn money with your Blog’ followed by ‘From Blog to Vlog’ and then SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)’¬†. Each of the workshops was¬†conducted by experts in the area and they shared a lot of valuable information. I made sure and took notes and marked down all important information shared.

One of the main points that I took from these workshops and the event itself is that it is important to stand strong in what I share on my blog and in vlogs. It was also shared that networking and connecting with likeminded Bloggers and Vlogger. And that it is not about me wanting to be found but more about the fact of finding the target group. Overall I must say that the event was a success and I am looking forward to what is to come in the near. And then not forgetting the goodie bag we received at the end of the event… It was great! SOoOoOo many different hair, skin care and beauty products. This was one of the best goodie bags I have received¬†at any event and will be doing reviews on the products I received.

Below I have added some images that I took during the day!

Enjoy!

Coloured Raine | Unboxing & First Impression | #ThePaintedLipProject

Hi Loves,

On Friday May 29th, I finally received my order from Coloured Raine. ¬†The¬†order was placed on April 29th and then shipped from the America to the Netherlands on May 5th. The shipping time felt like it took a long time to arrive, but when I made the order I was unaware that it can take about 15 business days to arrive. Adding on top of that once it left the “Departing Processing Centre” you could no longer track it.¬†This is for all international orders, it is no longer trackable unless it is sent via a priority mail.

I was a bit nervous that the package would not arrive but it did! ūüôā YAYYY I am extremely happy with them and can not wait to continue using them.

On my YT Channel¬†I have also made a video on my ‘unboxing’ and first impression of the purchase. Have a look at my video and see what I think about Coloured Raine Matte Lip Paints!!

Here is a preview of what the Matte Lip Paint look like. In the second picture (left to right is Suite Raine, Soul & Mars).
