Good News! + Collab with CocooAndCurls (YouTube Video)

Hi Followers!

I have some really good news to share, I passed my thesis defence! So that means that I am officially going to GRADUATE! Super cool & exciting, right?! I do find so myself!! Even though I am done with my Bachelor study, I am looking forward to starting something new ūüėČ ( I will share in the future) Currently I have my part-time job at Zara and seeing that I will not have to stress with school stuff anymore, I can now get back to Blogging & Vlogging. On my free days I am now going to dedicate them to being keeping myself busy with the things I love. [Creating content of course] I am extremely looking forward to what is to come. ūüėÄ

So starting off on a good note I created a make-up tutorial in collaboration¬†with CocooAndCurls. We decided to do a make-up look which included something green. Below is the video of what I put together, a make-up look which included¬†a POP of green in the waterline. This went live on Sunday, so check out the video below & don’f forge to give it a thumbs-up. For Cocoo’s video just have a quick look in the description box!

Until next time…much love!

Pearls of the Dutch Caribbean 2015 Evening

Hi There,

This past Saturday was the¬†Pearls of The Dutch Caribbean 2015 – Gala & Awards Show. As I previously shared I was¬†nominated and in the category of Student. However, I did not win ūüôĀ But on the bright side winning was not the most important aspect of the evening for me because I was contented with¬†the fact that I was nominated!

Seeing that I double booked this day with the¬†Party Over Hair Event¬†I decided to not go and just attend the Pearls of the Dutch Caribbean. I still feel a bit disappointed in myself because I could have mingled & networked with likeminded beauty/fashion enthusiast….ohhh well next time.

The whole evening of the Pearls of the Dutch Caribbean was a great first time experience but I felt that different areas could be developed a little more. But I think that the organisation will ask for feedback and make the right adaptions for the next time.

Ending I would like to congratulate all my fellow nominees and the winning nominees of the Pearls of the Dutch Caribbean!

Enjoy the pictures I took of the evening below ūüôā

Francis Sling is the artist that created all the artwork seen below. I am also thinking about purchasing a work of art from him, they are AMAZINGLY MADE!

Villages on SABA

Hi There!

So I am back with another post about the lovely island that I was raised on РSABA!

There are four beautifully unique is villages on Saba, namely The Bottom, St.John’s, Windwardside and Zion’s Hill.

The capital of the island is The Bottom, there you can find the Government building, the hospital and also the harbour. Moving up the island you get to St.John’s,¬†where all the kids on the island go to both primary and high school. (There’s only one of each on the island. lol.)In the Windwardside¬†you can find a variety of shops and restaurants. Last but not least is Zions’s Hill here is where everyone will experience that “I survived the Saba landing”. Saba’s airport is one of the shortest commercial runways in the world. (It is about 396 meters (1,299¬†ft) long)

Xx

Shete Boka National Park|Curaçao

Hi there!

Before going for an afternoon swim at Playa Kenepa Chiki (a beach) that is the direction of Banda Abou (west side of the island) we took a stop at the National Park – Shete Boka. The meaning of Shete Boka is “Seven Inlets” in English.

The park begins with a beautiful walk to where the waves come smashing up. After walking a little further down there is a cave where the performing waves give a spectacular show! They come rolling in over about 2 natural speed bumps. This is figuratively speaking however it is incredible. It is very important to be very careful while in there because those waves are extremely powerful. Continue reading

Made it to Curaçao.

Hi there,

Finally I am able to make a blog post…

Since arriving here I have been up and down, round and round! Busy with my family and friends.

I arrived safely in Curaçao, last week Thursday. My flight was scheduled to leave Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 10:00 a.m. however, it was delayed by about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The airline I flew here with was KLM and like always I loved flying with them. The flight was smooth and the service onboard was perfect as usual.

Photo before leaving the Netherlands…

After passing through all the security checks I made my way to look around and then decided to get something from Starbucks. The chia tea latte was the perfect combination to go along with two homemade sandwiches I brought along.

Some pictures of shops pass the security points…

The one thing when traveling with KLM is that you do not have to worry about being hungry or thirsty. They are always coming around with water, snacks and meals to keep you contented and hydrated. I took some pictures of my snacks and meals.

After being¬†in the air we first got some nuts and water as an ‘Arrival Snack’, then after departure my 1st meal choice was the Pasta Arrabbiata! (I enjoyed it) ¬†Later on we got a ‘Movie Snack’ it was ice-cream and water. (Who doesn’t like ice-cream?) Then the 2nd meal before landing was a light hot meal called Bella Italia. (Yummy) I was super happy with the meal selection and the quality of the food. I must add to it that the presentation of each tray is very fitting to the KLM¬†house-style.

I also love the fact that you can track the flight and see your exact location. The picture below was taken when the airplane was close to arriving in Curaçao.

The feeling of landing in Curaçao is always great, flying over the smashing blue waves and colourful houses is an incredible feeling. This island is one of my many homes away from home, so I am grateful that I can spend a few days with family and friends here on Curaçao.

On the airport present to pick me up was my Aunt along with my Mother. My mother was also¬†‘toevallig’ by chance also here on a business trip¬†and was able to see me arrive as well. It is a great feeling to be here! I will be collecting some video footage along with picture of the island and sharing that.
